"They had forgotten the cold, empty splendor of the Snow Queen's castle like a bad dream. Grandma was sitting in God's clear sunshine and reading aloud from the Bible: 'Except ye become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.' ... And they both sat, grown up and yet children - children at heart. And it was summer - the warm, glorious summer."

Before We Go Racing Off...

Much as I do not enjoy this sort of thing, I suppose any blog warrants some form of introduction. As the title may suggest, the bulk of posts made on this site will pertain to children's literature, and perhaps occasionally film as well. (You see what I did there? "The bulk" - my disclaimer in case I should choose a different topic on a given day.)

I have attempted blogging several times in the past, and have never got far. This was largely due to my attempt to use blogs as essentially "internet diaries." I have finally concluded that such things are useless and embarrassing, and am setting out on an attempt to keep a blog that may be of use or help to its readers. (What a novel idea!)

Rather short introduction, but it will do. Commence useful posting!
